Activities around Appenzell

The area around Appenzell offers a lot of things to discover. It's a hiking paradies with so many natural wonders and a beautiful landscape. You can choose between majestic mountains,  grassy hills with lovely cows, refreshing mountain lakes and cozy little villages.

You can easily reach the beautiful Ebenalp by cable car.

You can reach the mountain lake Seealpsee by a short hike of around 1 hour. After the hike you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the lake.

The guesthouse in its present form has existed since 1860 and is one of the oldest mountain guesthouses in Switzerland.
